Time For the Grandkids

Disneyworld here we come! Or make that Six Flags or how about the Grand Canyon next summer… and then there is camping in the Ozarks and fishing the river. Oh my goodness… grandkid trips are the best. You grandparents out there know what I’m talking about. The special vacation times with your grandkids are something that many of you spend months planning for. Many grandchildren are so blessed by the preoccupation that their grandparents shower upon them. Grandma and Grandpa care so deeply for their grands that there is almost nothing that they wouldn’t do for them. And these grandchildren are just amazingly blessed by this intense relationship. Even if separated by hundreds of miles, many grandparents still pay very close attention to what their grandkids are doing, wanting, and needing. They still keep in close weekly contact with each other. They call each other, email and even see each other via webcams. The point is that even having distance between you doesn’t have to diminish the intensity of the relationship between grandparents and their grandkids. Close contact may have to be worked at, but there are many ways to make that happen. It is too important a relationship – so please grandma and grandpa, no matter the distance, time or travel it's important enough to make it happen! Your grandkids will love you for doing so.
