REAL Women of the Bible

Who are some of the women of the Bible that you admire? Maybe Esther, the Jewish bride of the great King Xerxes who with an uncommon courage saved her people from horrific slaughter.  Or there’s Ruth the young widow who drew strength from her mother-in-law after the death of her husband. Later marrying well and becoming part of the lineage of Christ. There are so many extraordinary women in God’s Word who inspire me. Being a woman in the 21st century has many challenges and I don’t always feel like I can take them on. My faith and my courage is stronger when I team up with God and learn more about His heroes in his Word. Being a busy, involved mother, wife, employee, and friend means that there’s usually more to do than I have energy or talents for! It takes extraordinary energy and courage and faith to really accomplish something in the world today. The message of the Bible can provide me – and you with stories of real women who accomplished so much for God because they had confidence – not in themselves (I think of Moses’ mother, Miriam) but in Holy God. Consider these women of Biblical courage and today, be inspired yourself to do something extraordinary in the world for God.
