Whether you are grandpa, papaw, or papa your unique role in your grandkids' life is special. I’ve found that grandfathers seem to be especially involved with their grandchildren. Some may even be enjoying this role more than they did their job as a parent.

A hundred years ago, when folks just didn’t live as long as they do now, children might not have known their grandparents but for a few years. Today, grandchildren often know their grandparents throughout their childhood.
